yeehaw!!

March is the month for Rodeos in Texas. I've been going to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo since I was little. I think the first one I remember going to we saw Crystal Gayle perform and I LOVED her super long hair and I HAD to grow mine out as long as hers. It didn't get past the middle of my back before I begged my mom to cut it.

We started March out going to the Livestock Show. We didn't think Steven would sit through the actual rodeo and the livestock show has tons of things for kids to do and see.

We started out at the petting zoo. I told Steven it wasn't nice to point and laugh, even if it was just a goat.



He felt terrible and thought that kisses for all the animals was in order....

This boy might look just like his daddy, but he sure does take after his mama. Here he is, his first time on a horse with Mimi.

He LOVED it, despite what the pictures may look like. Mimi loved it too. :)

With both him and I begging daddy for a pony we just might make it happen. :) As soon as we left the ring he ran back over signing "more", very enthusiastically.

My cousin Janna and her daughter Jayde went with us and here is Steven and Jayde sitting in a tractor tire.

Tractor driving might just be his true calling...

Our rabid carousel horse. He loved the carousel too. He doesn't discriminate against plastic ponies.

A few weeks later Nana and B wanted to take him to the Austin Rodeo. They insisted on buying him authentic western garb...and I have to say he was the most adorable rodeo patron there EVER.

So, overall, Steven is a HUGE fan of the rodeo. Maybe next year we will actually see the rodeo. :)
